Taking It To The House Top 10 Greatest Quarterbacks

(Philadelphia, Pa) — With a couple more weeks before NFL training camps open (Washington Redskins on July 20th and Houston Texans on July 22nd), I thought a good way to pass the time was to create the Taking It To The House (T.I.T.T.H) list of the greatest players at each position.

I am sure some people will wonder how someone who has only been watching the NFL since the mid ‘70s can come up with such a list.  But remember I am a researcher and historian who travels to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio ever year.  Plus when I have nothing else better to do in his spare time, I can’t watch enough NFL Network and NFL Films material on “Old School” players.

I also love reading old NFL historical books filled with stats/storylines (I own quite a few), consulting with knowledgeable people like Hall of Fame writer Ray Didinger, and remembering all of the great stories my grandfather (former semi-pro player in the ‘40s) told me about the players of the past.

Trust me as someone who often talks to many of my Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA) brethren who are also Pro Football Hall of Fame voters, whenever you talk about the all-time best at anything, it can get pretty heated.  So let the debating begin and please use the comments area to give props/slights or send us your opinion via email.
