No Westbrook Deal Yet as Team is Traveling

In follow-up to a report on Profootballtalk.com that there are “rumblings out of Philly” that the Eagles have agreed on a restructured contract with Brian Westbrook.

I checked with a source of mine and the deal is not done as of Thursday 4:30 PM EST with the Eagles including front-office, support staff, players, and coaches split up on their way to Pittsburgh for Friday’s pre-season game against the Steelers.  Half of them are on a bus and the other half is on a plane .  The good news is that the team and Westbrook are finally talking !!!

The source also said that maybe the deal can be finalized and announced once the team reconvenes at the hotel in Pittsburgh.  Stay tuned to Taking It to the House for any further details.
