2011 Philadelphia Eagles Notebook: October 17 Practice

After the Philadelphia Eagles were able to get back on the winning side of the ledger, Taking It to the House’s Eagles Beat Reporter Matt Lomabardo saw a lot more smiling faces at the NovaCare Center on Monday October 17th.

To some beating the turnover-prone Washington Redskins and their “bad” quarterback Rex Grossman (4 INTs) in a close 20-13 win may not have been totally exciting.  But to Head Coach Andy Reid everything was all about getting a “W” for the first time in 4 weeks.  Reid was so ecstatic with his team’s effort that he gave his group off until October 24 during their bye week.

Cullen Jenkins dropped by to talk about where he thinks this team is after five weeks and what needs to be done not only during the bye week but in the second half. Jeremy Maclin talked about his mindset going into the bye week and Jason Avant talked about how he thinks his teammates responded to the players only meeting that he called last Wednesday.
