Manning’s Injury Brings Back Memories of Y.A Tittle by Lloyd Vance

Watching the video of NYGiants quarterback Eli Manning’s bloody forehead, in a preseaon win over the NY Jets,  made me think of one of the most iconic pictures in NFL history.

Former NY Giants QB Y.A Tittle is left dazed after being hit by a couple Pittsburgh Steelers circa 1964.  Tittle would later be named to the Pro Football  Hall of Fame after a brillant 17-year career, but it is this picture that everyone remembers.
